Compared to last year, College Park already has an earlier jump on the strong finish to the season it was looking for.

Coming off last week’s 26-21 victory Oak Ridge, the Cavaliers (2-5, 1-2) will look to build off that with their next District 16-6A matchup against Summer Creek at Turner Stadium Thursday night at 7 p.m.

“We have to build on what we did last week,” College Park coach Richard Carson said earlier this week. “To be honest, we are going to have to do better than we did last week in this game.”

Last year, College Park brought an 0-4 record in district play against the Bulldogs and came away with a 42-28 win. The Cavaliers then closed out the year by defeating Conroe to finish 3-7 overall. click here for complete story
