Volleyball: Oak Ridge girls draw Fort Bend Austin

Oak Ridge’s volleyball team will play in the second Class 6A finale on Friday in Garland, and the Lady War Eagles will be tangling with another team from the Houston metropolitan area.

Oak Ridge (35-6), which played its way into the state tournament by sweeping District 16-6A rival The Woodlands on Saturday, will tangle with Fort Bend Austin at approximately 6 p.m. on Friday at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.

The Woodlands had won back-to-back state championships, including an unbeaten season in 2013, while also claiming the 16-6A title this season. click here for complete story
