CISD reveals design plans for new Oak Ridge elementary school

The Conroe Independent School District has unveiled preliminary design plans for a proposed elementary school in the Oak Ridge feeder zone. The elementary school is expected to cost just under $26 million, according to the district.

The Conroe Independent School District has unveiled preliminary design plans for a proposed elementary school in the Oak Ridge feeder zone.The project is one of four new schools slated for construction in the Oak Ridge feeder zone after a $487 million bond referendum received voter approval during the Nov. 3 election. The district plans to break ground on the elementary school off Riley Fuzzel Road and the Grand Parkway extension in the Imperial Falls subdivision by March. CISD expects to move into the building in time for the 2017-18 school year, according to a project timeline.
