Christmas tradition builds community spirit in Woodlands neighborhood

Every new resident that moves into a house on Tangle Brush Drive in the Panther Creek neighborhood of The Woodlands finds a stash of Christmas lights in the attic and inherits a mission.

The mission: to transform the neighborhood into Christmas Street.

“I warn all the new neighbors,” said Miki Holmes, who has lived in the neighborhood for 23 years. From green and red lights wrapped around 70-foot-tall trees to giant inflatable snowmen to department-store-style window displays, the residents of the neighborhood have earned a reputation for having the best free Christmas decoration display around. click here for complete story
