Atascocita’s Christian Fierro (7) moves the ball during the high school boys soccer game against Conroe on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Moorhead Stadium.

Currently sitting outside of the Top-4 in District 16-6A, first-year Conroe coach Victor Trejo just wants to see his team finish the year strong.

The Tigers put on a strong effort Tuesday night in their home finale. Against Atascocita at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium, the Tigers took a 4-3 victory.

Conroe is now 4-5-2 for 14 points in district play and will close out the regular season Friday night at College Park. The only two ways the Tigers even have a chance to make the playoffs is if: (1) they beat College Park or (2) tie College Park and have Oak Ridge lose to winless Summer Creek. Needless to say, a lot must go the Tigers’ way. click here for complete story
