There are certain ingredients in makeup that reflect the light very strongly. This effect is not visible in daylight but is really visible under flash photography.
This phenomena is known as “flashback”. It’s not the camera, it’s not you; it’s actually your makeup. The dusty, white cast that saturates your complexion in photos is caused by the SPF found in many foundations, concealers, and powders.
SPF is amazing for daytime wear as protection from the sun is debatably the most important thing in a beauty routine. But the same SPF which reflects UV sun beams during the day also reflects the light of a camera’s flash. In turn, you end up flashback, or ghostface.
If you will be in a situation where you will be photographed with flash, you must be sure that you are using photo-friendly makeup. You need to pay attention to your foundation, concealer, illuminating / brightening cosmetics, and all finishing powders
From the beginning of the day to the very last event, The Woodlands swimming program kept its foot on the gas pedal, racing to a pair of team titles at the District 13-6A championships at Conroe ISD Natatorium Saturday.
As the team shirts say this year, the Highlanders and Lady Highlanders were able to “start fast, finish faster.”
Both teams won their respective crowns by a landslide – the girls by 88 points, and the boys by an astounding 153. The Woodlands’ Lucie Nordmann and Tobin Hickman-Chow earned Swimmer of the Meet awards, and Kent Kirchner was honored as the top coach. Click here for complete story and photo gallery…
