Baseball: War Eagle signees stay focused as they head into playoffs

7V7A3025_storyAfter signing their final athletes of the season, the Oak Ridge High School baseball team is more focused than ever to see success in the fast-approaching playoffs.

Demarco Thomas, Kolton Forsythe, Dominic Sere and Jacob Blatney were the patient four who signed their Letters of Intent at Oak Ridge’s final Signing Day Ceremony. Softball: Langkamp, Borstmayer lead The Woodlands to Game 1 win

Champs-Logo-2016-19Against the hot-hitting, undefeated champions of District 15-6A, The Woodlands had a neutralizer in the circle Thursday evening.

Junior Emily Langkamp held the Klein Oak Lady Panthers hitless through 4 1/3 innings, and then helped herself with an insurance run on a solo homer in the top of the sixth as the Lady Highlanders won Game 1 of the Region II-6A bi-district series 3-0 at Tomball High School. click here for complete story

Baseball: Hot bats lift Oak Ridge past College Park

Originally supposed to be played on Tuesday, Saturday’s District 16-6A showdown between College Park and Oak Ridge at the Diamonds of College Park had major playoff implications.

Softball: Atascocita no-hits Conroe to clinch District 16-6A Championship, 10-0

Winning district championships is something seniors at Atascocita have gotten used to doing.

Having back-to-back titles under their belts heading into this season, the Lady Eagles were seeking a three-peat on Saturday and clinched the District 16-6A Championship via a 10-0 no-hit victory against Conroe. click  here for complete story

 

Track & Field: Persistence pays off for Highlanders
