Football: College Park’s Carson inducted into GHFCA Hall of Honor

572ab3638a913.imageCollege Park’s Richard Carson was inducted into the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association Hall of Honor on Wednesday night at a special ceremony held at the University of Houston’s TDECU Stadium.

For Carson, who has been College Park’s athletic director and head football coach since the school opened in 2005, the news of his induction came via a phone call from the organization’s current president Shane Hallmark, the head coach at Klein High School. click here for compete story

 

Baseball: Highlanders get 8-0 revenge on Cavalier territory

College Park and The Woodlands saw several tennis players advance to regionals after successfully competing in the District 16-6A championships at Kingwood High School on Thursday. The first- and second-place finishers in each division will participate in the Region II-6A tournament April 18-20 at Baylor University in Waco. click here for complete story

 

Track & Field: The Woodlands boys, girls sweep Highlander Invitational

The Woodlands sprinter Charity Thomas will need a whole new shelf for the amount of medals she won at annual Highlander Invitational track and field meet on Saturday.

Thomas finished with three gold medals on the day as she and her fellow Lady Highlanders rolled to the team victory, helping seal the sweep as the Highlanders won the team standings on the boys, as well, at the meet held at The Woodlands High School. click here for complete story
