College Park’s Richard Carson was inducted into the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association Hall of Honor on Wednesday night at a special ceremony held at the University of Houston’s TDECU Stadium.
For Carson, who has been College Park’s athletic director and head football coach since the school opened in 2005, the news of his induction came via a phone call from the organization’s current president Shane Hallmark, the head coach at Klein High School. click here for compete story

After a tough loss against the College Park baseball team early in the season, The Woodlands Highlanders made an 8-0 comeback in the second round of district play. College Park and The Woodlands saw several tennis players advance to regionals after successfully competing in the District 16-6A championships at Kingwood High School on Thursday. The Woodlands sprinter Charity Thomas will need a whole new shelf for the amount of medals she won at annual Highlander Invitational track and field meet on Saturday.
Thomas finished with three gold medals on the day as she and her fellow Lady Highlanders rolled to the team victory, helping seal the sweep as the Highlanders won the team standings on the boys, as well, at the meet held at The Woodlands High School. click here for complete story
