With temperatures in the low 30s at the Gosling Sports Fields Friday evening, it took a while for College Park coach Meredith Cook to warm up after her team earned a resounding 3-0 victory over Cypress Creek in the Lady Highlander Invitational.
“I can finally feel my toes again,” she said with a laugh.

To keep their hopes of winning yet another District Championship alive heading into the season finale on Friday against The Woodlands, Kingwood had to take care of College Park.
The Lady Mustangs (16-4-2, 10-1 in District 16-6A play) came out scoring a pair of first half goals off the foot of Sloane Scharold en route to a 2-0 victory on Friday at Turner Stadium. click here for complete story
The final stretch of games is coming, and now is the time for the top four teams in District 16-6A to make their push into the postseason.
For College Park, which currently sits fifth, that means a game on the road against second place Kingwood today could decide whether or not the Lady Cavaliers keeps their season alive or not.
