College Park senior Quentin Grimes has been named the District 12-6A Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season after yet another standout campaign for the Cavaliers.

Grimes, a Kansas signee, averaged 29.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this year while shooting 57 percent from the floor and 39 percent from the 3-point line. continue reading…

Boys Basketball: Lewis, Tigers blow past College Park


Conroe and College Park wrapped up the first round of district play Tuesday night with a hard-fought battle in The Pit at Conroe High School. The Tigers wasted no time jumping all over the Cavaliers, hitting three 3-pointers to open the game. Once Conroe got in front, it never surrendered the lead, beating College Park 82-65. Read more…

Boys Basketball: Conroe tops Oak Ridge in close 12-6A opener


Conroe and Oak Ridge opened up competition in District 12-6A Friday night with an exciting, back-and-forth battle that came down to the final minute of the game.

It had been a bit of an off night for Jay Lewis up until the fourth quarter, where he scored 13 of his 19 points, making big play after big play to lead the Tigers to a 59-55 win over Oak Ridge in The Pit at Conroe High School. Read more…
