Boys Soccer: The Woodlands routs La Porte to open Kilt Cup

At any level of soccer, sometimes teams can go a few games and not score the amount of goals The Woodlands did to begin the 2016 season on Thursday.

To start the Kilt Cup at Woodforest Bank Stadium, the Highlanders were on the board twice within the first five minutes and came away with a 7-1 win over an overmatched La Porte squad.

“When you score three goals in the first (20) minutes, it takes the air out of a lot of opponents,” The Woodlands coach Hans Kleinschmidt said. “I just think we overmatched them and shocked them at first. But great way to start.” click here for complete story
