WRESTLING | Robinson, Frometa earn bronze medals at state

They didn’t come for third place, but two Montgomery County wrestlers came away from the UIL Wrestling State Tournament with bronze medals. Girls Soccer: College Park picks up second win; Oak Ridge plays to draw

 

With temperatures in the low 30s at the Gosling Sports Fields Friday evening, it took a while for College Park coach Meredith Cook to warm up after her team earned a resounding 3-0 victory over Cypress Creek in the Lady Highlander Invitational.

“I can finally feel my toes again,” she said with a laugh.

Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, the Lady Cavaliers were able to secure their second consecutive triumph after dropping their season opener against Cypress Ranch Thursday. Read more…
