Football | The Woodlands hands Oak Ridge first loss of season

 

The Woodlands has knocked its opponent from the ranks of the unbeaten for the second consecutive week.

The Highlanders handed Oak Ridge its first loss of the season on Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium, using a stout defensive performance and a balanced attack on offense to pull away in the second half for a convincing 49-14 victory. continue reading

WRESTLING | Robinson, Frometa earn bronze medals at state

They didn’t come for third place, but two Montgomery County wrestlers came away from the UIL Wrestling State Tournament with bronze medals. College Park’s 138-pound girls wrestler Hunter Robinson and The Woodlands’ 146-pound boys wrestler Alex Frometa each capped their respective seasons with third-place match wins Saturday afternoon at Berry Center. read more…
