All season long, the Klein Oak Lady Panthers have proven to be a team that can hit the ball hard and hit the ball often. The bats disappeared on Thursday night with just one hit to open the UIL Region II-6A bi-district series with The Woodlands.

Junior Emily Langkamp held the Klein Oak Lady Panthers hitless through 4 1/3 innings, and then helped herself with an insurance run on a solo homer in the top of the sixth as the Lady Highlanders won Game 1 of the Region II-6A bi-district series 3-0 at Tomball High School. click here for complete story
Two Woodlands high school softball teams started their quest for a state championship Thursday night. The district 16-6A third seed Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles (18-11-2) played the Montgomery Lady Bears (19-6) and the fourth seed The Woodlands Lady Highlanders (21-9) faced the Klein Oak Lady Panthers (21-7). click here for complete story

If there is one thing The Woodlands’ softball team has plenty of this year, it’s youth. With one third of the team made up of underclassmen and half of the roster made up of juniors, seniors are a bit of a minority in the dugout.
